Section R. 257.855 - License restrictionsRule 5.
(1) The department may require an applicant or licensee who wishes to receive or retain an unrestricted license to demonstrate his or her ability to safely operate a vehicle.(2) Notwithstanding any other provision of these rules, when an operator's or chauffeur's license or any indorsement is issued, restored, or retained, the license or indorsement may include reasonable restrictions which are necessary for the safe operation of the type of vehicle the person is authorized to operate.Mich.
