(1) The commission shall resolve any reasonable doubt arising from the circumstances of the officer's death or permanent and total disability in favor of payment of the death or disability benefit.(2) At all times practicable, the commission shall promptly pay the claimant an interim benefit of $3,000, upon a request demonstrating need.Mich.
