Section R. 792.11609 - Medical examinationRule 1609.
(1) For purposes of deciding eligibility for disability retirement under sections 21 and 24 of the state employees' retirement act, 1943 PA 240, MCL 38.21 and 38.24, a medical examination conducted by 1 or more medical advisors means either a personal medical examination of the retirement system member or a review of the application and medical records of the member.(2) If an applicant for a disability retirement under section 21 or 24 of the state employees' retirement act, 1943 PA 240, MCL 38.21 and 38.24, fails to submit to a reasonable medical examination requested by the system, the application shall be denied.Mich.
