(1) A means of egress to an exit not immediately apparent from any point in an occupancy shall be marked by directional signs. Additionally, the line-of-sight to an exit sign shall be clearly visible at all times.(2) A door, passage, or stairway, which is neither an exit nor an exit access, and which is so located or arranged as to be likely mistaken for an exit, shall be identified by a sign reading "NOT AN EXIT" or similar designation, or be identified by a sign indicating its actual use or character.(3) A sign shall designate an exit and shall be located and be of such size and color and design as to be readily visible and identifiable from the distance of travel for that particular occupancy.(4) Each exit must be clearly visible and marked by a sign reading "EXIT."Mich.
