(1) A slasher saw blade shall be guarded by a fixed or adjustable barrier guard which protects the operator or other employees from inadvertently coming into contact with the saw teeth from the back side.(2) The fixed or adjustable barrier guard shall be constructed to keep an employee from coming into contact with the saw blade and shall be capable of retaining any blocks which are cut off and which may be thrown by the blade.Mich.
