Section R. 408.14964 - Use; safe operating temperaturesRule 4964.
(1) When a synthetic web sling is used, the following precautions shall be taken: (a) A nylon web sling shall not be used where fumes, vapors, sprays, mists, or liquids of acids or phenolics are present.(b) A polyester and polypropylene web sling shall not be used where fumes, vapors, sprays, mists, or liquids of caustics are present.(c) A web sling with aluminum fittings shall not be used where fumes, vapors, sprays, mists, or liquids of caustics are present.(2) A synthetic web sling of polyester and nylon shall not be used at a temperature in excess of 180 degrees Fahrenheit.(3) A polypropylene web sling shall not be used at a temperature in excess of 200 degrees Fahrenheit.
