Section R. 325.10704j - Total coliform; violationsRule 704j.
(1) A supply is in violation of the MCL for E. coli when 1 or more of the following conditions occur: (a) The supply has an E. coli-positive repeat sample following a total coliform-positive routine sample.(b) The supply has a total coliform-positive repeat sample following an E. coli-positive routine sample.(c) The supply fails to take all required repeat samples following an E. coli-positive routine sample.(d) The supply fails to test for E. coli when a repeat sample tests positive for total coliform.(2) Treatment technique violations are both of the following: (a) A supply exceeds a treatment technique trigger in R 325.10704i(1) and then fails to conduct the required assessment or corrective actions within the time frame in R 325.10704i(2) and (3).(b) A seasonal supply fails to complete a department-approved start-up procedure before serving water to the public.(3) Monitoring violations are both of the following: (a) Failure to take every required routine or additional routine sample in a compliance period.(b) Failure to analyze for E. coli following a total coliform-positive routine sample.(4) Reporting violations are all of the following: (a) Failure to submit a monitoring report or completed assessment form after a supply properly conducts monitoring or assessment in a timely manner.(b) Failure to notify the department following an E. coli-positive sample under R 325.10704h(2)(a) in a timely manner.(c) Failure to submit certification of completion of department-approved start-up procedure by a seasonal supply.Mich.
