Section R. 325.10504 - General requirements of type I public water suppliesRule 504. A type I public water supply shall meet the following general requirements and other specific requirements as prescribed by the act and these rules:
(a) Obtain certified operators of treatment systems and distribution systems.(b) Monitor for contaminants at prescribed frequencies as required by part 7 of these rules.(c) Submit waterworks system operation reports and maintain records.(d) Comply with the provisions of part 14 of these rules and comply with all applicable state and local plumbing codes. Public water supplies that existed before the effective date of this rule that serve facilities which are licensed by the state, including manufactured housing communities and health care facilities, are not required to comply with part 14 of these rules until January 1, 2016.(e) Submit plans and specifications and obtain permits from the department in accordance with the provisions of the act and part 13 of these rules.Mich.
