(1) A pressure tank shall be installed in an approved pump room, well house, crawl space, basement offset, or basement.(2) A totally buried pressure tank may be used if the manufacturer's unit has been approved, in writing, by the director as to its design, type of material, and specification for its installation.(3) If a pump is capable of developing water pressures greater than the manufacturer's rated working pressure of the pressure tank, a pressure relief valve shall be installed near the pressure tank.Mich.
