Section R. 325.17501 - Location of establishments; approval by departmentRule 501.
(1) The location and the type of building used for the dry cleaning establishment shall be approved by the department.(2) The department shall conduct an on-site evaluation of a new dry cleaning building location before the plans and specifications are submitted to the department for review and approval. The owner, operator, or designated agent shall be responsible for contacting the department to arrange an inspection to comply with this part.(3) The department shall not approve the location of a dry cleaning building or dry cleaning establishment if the building or establishment does not comply with the public health code for type IV installations or the fire prevention code for type I, II or III installations.Mich.
