Section 30.09.10.10 - Standard Ambulance Patient-Carrying DevicesEach ambulance shall carry the following standard equipment for carrying patients:
A. One ambulance stretcher that:(1) Is adjustable in height,(2) Permits the elevation of the upper body,(3) Has a mattress covered with nonabsorbent material free from defects, such as rips and tears,(4) Has safety straps to secure the patient in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations, and(5) Has a stretcher-mounted IV pole or equivalent; andB. One folding stair chair capable of negotiating narrow hallways or stairways.Md. Code Regs. 30.09.10.10
