Section 26.13.06.11 - Certification of ClosureA. Within 60 days of completion of closure of each hazardous waste surface impoundment, waste pile, land treatment unit, and landfill unit, and within 60 days of completion of final closure, the owner or operator shall submit to the Secretary, by registered mail, a certification that the hazardous waste management unit or facility, as applicable, has been closed in accordance with the specifications in the approved closure plan.B. The certification required in §A of this regulation shall be signed by the owner or operator and by an independent registered professional engineer.C. The owner or operator shall furnish documentation supporting the independent registered professional engineer's certification to the Secretary upon request until the owner or operator is released from the financial assurance requirements for closure under 40 CFR § 265.143(h), which is incorporated by reference in Regulation .16 of this chapter.Md.
