Section 26.02.06.02 - Reporting Procedure
A. Who Shall Report.
(1) Reporting by Laboratories. The supervisor or director of a laboratory shall report to the Department the results of test showing elevated levels of lead, mercury, arsenic, or cadmium in blood or urine in Maryland residents 18 years and older.
(2) Reporting by the Department.
(a) The Department shall report test results of occupational cases to MOSH.
(b) The Department shall report test results to the local health department of residence.
B. Time and Method of Reporting.
(1) The laboratories shall record all elevated levels of lead, mercury, arsenic, or cadmium in blood or urine on the forms provided by the Department and shall also record information as prescribed on the form.
(2) The laboratories shall provide the Department with three copies of the reporting forms within 5 working days of completion of the test.
