Section 10.34.42.02 - DefinitionsA. In this chapter, the following terms have the meanings indicated.B. Terms Defined.(1) "Board" means the Maryland Board of Pharmacy.(2) "Nicotine replacement therapy medication" means a nicotine-based treatment, including inhalers, gums, lozenges, nasal sprays, and patches, approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration that assists an individual to cease the use of products that contain nicotine.(3) "Primary care practitioner" means a licensed health care practitioner who:(a) Provides an individual's primary care services; and(b) Is the primary coordinator of health care services for the individual.(4) "Visit summary" means: (a) A written record of the nicotine replacement therapy medication dispensed;(b) The name and contact information for the prescribing pharmacist; and(c) The information on the importance of regular appointments with the individual's primary care practitioner.Md.
