Section 10.05.02.08 - Quality Assurance Program

A. A freestanding birthing center shall develop and implement a quality assurance program.

B. A freestanding birthing center shall collect the following evaluative data in addition to that required in COMAR 10.05.01.08 a:

(1) Number of births;

(2) Intrapartum transfer rates and indications for transfer; and

(3) Postpartum maternal and neonatal hospital admissions.
