Section 08.02.08.07 - Surf Clams

A. Maryland Waters.

A person may not catch, attempt to catch, or possess any surf clams harvested from Maryland waters which extend from the Maryland shore to 3 miles offshore.

B. Offshore Waters.

(1) A person may not possess or land surf clams harvested from offshore waters, which extend from 3-200 miles offshore, in violation of the:

(a) Catch limit established in 50 CFR 648 ; or

(b) Size specifications established in 50 CFR 648.

(2) A person may not catch, possess, or land surf clams when the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration closes the fishery in accordance with 50 CFR 648 .
