Section 05.05.01.01 - Scope

A. This chapter prescribes the policies, procedures, and authorizations for making loans from and administering the following multifamily rental housing programs:

(1) Elderly Rental Housing Program; and

(2) Rental Housing Production Program.

B. This chapter is applicable to the Maryland HOME Program (rental housing development only) as set forth under COMAR 05.12.01.

C. Projects which receive funding under this chapter may also receive low income housing tax credits, which are governed by COMAR 05.05.06 and by federal law. For these projects, if any provision of this chapter conflicts with any law or regulation related to low income housing tax credits, the more restrictive provision applies.
