Section 407-220-1 - PURPOSE AND APPLICABILITYA.Purpose. The purpose of this Chapter is to establish the requirements that must be met and the procedures that must be followed before and after a Price Cap ILEC is relieved of the obligation to provide Provider of Last Resort service. This Chapter also establishes the findings the Commission must make to approve a request by a Price Cap ILEC to discontinue, reduce, or impair the service it provides in a municipality where it had previously served as the provider of Provider of Last Resort service.B.Applicability.
