Section 229-310-10 - SAFETY1. The manufacturer's ratings for gross vehicle weight, axle capacity, brake systems and other components for which a manufacturer's rating is available may not be exceeded.2. In order to be eligible for permits, the motor carrier must not be prioritized for an FMCSA safety intervention or have an unsatisfactory FMCSA safetyrating, in that they must not have a CSA Behavior Analysis and Safety Improvement Category (BASIC) score that exceeds 75 in any category.3. Any other provisions of this rule notwithstanding, the haulage of any materials the transportation of which would be unlawful or would require the licensing by, or permission of, an agency of the Federal Government or the State of Maine pursuant to environmental laws or regulations, is prohibited under permits issued hereunder.17-229 C.M.R. ch. 310, § 10
