Providers of in-home behavioral health services or case management serving children affected by this rule may require the child's parent or guardian to sign a release permitting the provider to communicate with other similar providers about the fact that the child has applied for services. This sharing of client information between providers seeking to serve the same clients is necessary to facilitate the provision and tracking of services and to avoid duplication of effort by these providers. The parent or guardian of the child seeking services shall inform the provider at the time of requesting services of any other requests made on behalf of the child and keep the provider informed of any future requests for services made to other providers.
