A qualified hospital must use a Hospital Presumptive Eligibility application (HPE-App) to establish the applicant's household size and income. If the hospital determines the applicant meets all of the eligibility requirements for coverage in one of the eligibility groups listed in Section 2 of this Part, the hospital shall determine that the applicant is presumptively eligible for MaineCare coverage.
