Effective October 1, 2023 through September 30, 2024, a resident of the following Maine geographic areas (cities, towns, plantations, unorganized territories, townships and reservations) is exempt from ABAWD work requirements, per a federal geographic waiver approved pursuant to 7 C.F.R. § 273.24(f)(2) and section 6(o) of the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008:
