Section 144-222-1 - Purpose and Scope
A. This chapter sets forth rules governing the public notice that must be given in the event of a radioactive release or specific safety related events at any nuclear power plant.
B. This rules does not apply to public notification during declared emergencies at a nuclear power plant. Such notification is subject to other requirements of state and federal law, including the State of Maine Emergency Management Agency Radiological Incident Plan.
C. Statutory Authority: 22 MRSA Section 674 and 35-A MRSA Section 4332.
