Section 137-8-01 - Agency JurisdictionA. The Commissioner has the authority to recommend to the Legislature the designation of any species of fish or wildlife found in the State ( 12 M.R.S.A. §12803) as Endangered [12 M.R.S.A.) § 10001(19) ] or Threatened ( 12 M.R.S.A. §10001(63)] in accordance with the provisions of the Maine Endangered Species Act ( 12 MRSA §12804) .
