A farmer, disposing of waste pesticide residues which are hazardous wastes generated from farming activity on the farmer's own farm, is not required to comply with the standards in this Chapter or other standards in 06-096 C.M.R. chs. 852, 854, 855 or 856 for those waste residues provided the farmer collects wash and rinse water from the cleaning of spray equipment and triple rinses each emptied pesticide container in accordance with 06-096 C.M.R. ch. 850, section 3(C)(4)(c) of the Department's rules and disposes of the pesticide residues on the farmer's own farm in a manner consistent with the use or disposal instructions on the pesticide label. The containers must then be disposed of in accordance with rules administered by the Pesticide Control Board, Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry.
