Section 096-375-11 - Preservation of Historic SitesA.Preamble. The Department recognizes the value to society of preserving sites of historic significance.B.Definition. As used in this section, "historic site" means any site, structure, district or archaeological site which has been officially included on the National Register of Historic Places and/or on the Maine Historic Resource Inventory, or which is established by qualified testimony as being of historic significance.C.Scope of Review. In determining whether a proposed development will have an adverse effect on the preservation of historic sites either on or near the development site, the Department shall consider all relevant evidence to that effect.D.Terms and Conditions. The Department, may as a term or condition of approval, establish any reasonable requirement to ensure that a proposed development will not adversely affect preservation of any historic site.06- 096 C.M.R. ch. 375, § 11
