Section 385-110-1-1 - Purpose

The purpose of this chapter is to increase the availability of safe and affordable modular housing by:

1. Promoting the use of new technologies, techniques and materials;

2. Requiring manufacturers' adherence to necessary laws, rules, building codes, and performance standards; and

3. Delegating to approved inspection agencies the responsibility for assessing the adequacy of building systems and monitoring manufacturers' code and rules compliance.
