"Surveying organization" includes all professional surveying, mapping, and other land information organizations, associations or societies the purpose of which is to advance the education, professionalism, and ethics of the surveying, mapping and land information professions including, but not limited to, the National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS) (including member organizations), the Maine Society of Land Surveyors (MSLS), and analogous international, national or local associations. "Surveying organization" also includes all state or national boards relating to the licensing, examination, or other regulation of surveyors.
