A temporary permit shall be issued in accordance with 32 MRSA §4861(3). The work performed under a temporary permit is limited to the practice of the licensed doctor of veterinary medicine and he or she shall not participate in any practice or operation of a branch office, clinic, or allied establishment. Applicants who fail the examination may reapply for a second temporary permit within ten days of receiving written notice of the first examination results. A maximum of two permits may be issued to any individual applicant.
