Section 041-513-4 - Size Requirements for StretchersA.Size Requirements. A passenger elevator, as defined by ASME A17.1, installed in Maine must comply with the requirements of 32 MRS § 15228. The elevator must accommodate the transportation of a person on an ambulance stretcher at least 76 inches long by 24 inches wide placed horizontally in the elevator car.B.Exclusions.
