Section 670-55-11 - Compliance and Enforcement1. The Bureau and its designees reserve the right to inspect any sunken log salvage operation to determine if it is being carried out in accordance with the terms and conditions of the authorization and these Rules. Designees of the Bureau may include staff of the Maine Departments of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry, Environmental Protection and Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, and other agencies or persons approved by the Bureau.2. If the Bureau determines that a salvage operation is not in compliance with the terms and conditions of the authorization and of these Rules, the applicant will be notified of the violations and the Bureau may provide, at its discretion, a time period for remedying the violations. At its discretion, the Bureau may require that salvage work be suspended while the violation is being remedied.3. If an applicant fails to correct a violation within the stated time frame set by the Bureau, the authorization may be revoked by the Director in addition to any other remedy provided herein or by law.
