Section 669-4-2 - Purpose of the RulesA. Silvicultural treatment can be an important part of an integrated spruce budworm control program. The Budworm Suppression Act recognizes the desirability of managing the forest in a way designed to minimize susceptibility and vulnerability to future infestations. If land is being managed in this way, it may be granted a silvicultural treatment designation.B.
