Section XVII-509 - Qualifications of Fee Appraisers (Formerly Section 507)A. Upon the appraiser's initial request for a Fee Appraiser Application Packet, the Assistant Real Estate Administrator will notify the appraiser of the receipt of the request and provide the necessary forms to be completed. Those forms will include a letter stating the minimum requirements to be considered for employment by the LDOTD Appraisal Office. If the appraiser meets the qualification requirements of the LDOTD and is approved for employment, he/she will be included on the Approved Panel of Fee Appraisers. The minimum requirements for acceptance of Fee Appraisers on the LDOTD's Approved Panel of Fee Appraisers are as follows. 1. The appraiser must be a Certified Appraiser pursuant to the Louisiana Certified Real Estate Appraiser Law.2. The appraiser must follow the appraisal standards as set forth by the Uniform Standard of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP).3. The appraiser must follow the appraisal standards as set forth by the Uniform Appraisal Standards for Federal Land Acquisitions (UASFLA).B. Many of the fee appraisal work required by the department involve properties required for projects in which federal funds are utilized.
