Section XXXV-115 - Scales Prohibited from UseA. The following scales shall not be used, sold or employed for commercial purposes in the weighing of any salable commodity: 1. an overload type of spring scale or balance, commonly known as household scales;2. a scale identified as illegal for use in trade;3. a scale whose physical condition facilitates the perpetration of deception and/or fraud.B. Any type of apparatus, when found in any store, stand, business establishment, or on any vehicle from which commodities are sold or offered for sale, and in violation of the law and/or any regulation, shall be subject to immediate condemnation and confiscation.C. It is prohibited to remove labels or other information placed on or packaged with scales sold in this state which indicate that such scales are not suitable or not intended for commercial use.La.
