Section XXI-2115 - Emergency Standards (Formerly Section 3115)A. Standards for management and destruction of animals during an emergency may be extended during a declared disaster or animal disease event. In such cases mass euthanasia may be necessary. 1. Mass euthanasia shall be used for unusual conditions which require depopulation, such as wide-spread disease eradication and exigent circumstance resulting from natural disasters; the state veterinarian may authorize alternate methods if necessary.La.
