Section III-1969 - Standard Telephone AllowanceA. Effective May 1, 2002, all SNAP households whose only utility cost is a telephone shall use a mandatory standard telephone allowance of $24. Each October 1 thereafter, the mandatory standard telephone allowance shall be adjusted to reflect changes in the cost of basic telephone services.B. The Office of Family Security will conduct an annual statewide survey of telephone companies to determine the average subject to approval by the United States Department of Agriculture Food and Nutrition Service. The standard allowance developed shall also be submitted to USDA FNS for approval.La. Admin. Code tit. 67, § III-1969
