Section V-309 - Status of Wells Abandoned Prior to Effective DateA. If production operations have ceased, or a well is in state of disrepair prior to the effective date of procedures stated herein, and the owner has not and does not intend to place the well in the inactive status, the well shall be considered abandoned. The responsible party shall have six months from the effective date of these standards to return the well to active status or inactive status. After that time the abandoned well shall be plugged or sealed as provided for in the standards and methods stated herein.La. Admin. Code tit. 56, § V-309
