Section I-1014 - Witness Fees in HearingsA. The travel expenses of an officer or employee of a state agency who is required to appear before the board shall be paid by the agency which employs him.B. The board may order that any person who is not an officer or employee of a state department and who is subpoenaed to testify or provide documents at a public hearing shall be entitled to the same mileage and fees as are allowed witnesses in civil cases by the Nineteenth Judicial District Court for the Parish of East Baton Rouge.C. If a witness is subpoenaed at the request of the applicant, the board may order the same cost of witness fees and mileage to be paid by the applicant.D. The board or the executive secretary, before issuing a subpoena, may require the party requesting the subpoena to deposit with the executive secretary a sum sufficient to cover the mileage costs and witness fees, pending a determination of costs by the board.La.
