Section XXIX-301 - AuthorityA. The rules specified in this Part are promulgated under the authority of R.S. Title 40, Chapter 4, Part X-E (R.S. 40:1046 et seq.).B. In accordance with the provisions of 21 U.S.C. 812, medical marijuana remains classified as a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance by the government of the United States. No Louisiana law or regulation may preempt or supersede federal law, and the products regulated in the rules described in this Part remain subject to such laws as are applicable to Schedule I substances.La.
