Section XIV-403 - InstallationA. Cleaning. Plumbing fixtures shall be installed in a manner to afford easy access for cleaning. Where practical, all pipes from fixtures shall be run to the nearest wall.B. Joints. Where a fixture comes in contact with a wall or floor, the joint shall be watertight.C. Wall-Hung Bowls. Wall-hung water closet bowls shall be rigidly supported by a concealed metal supporting member so that no strain is transmitted to the closet connection.D. Setting. Fixtures shall be set level and in proper alignment with reference to adjacent walls. No water closet or bidet shall be set closer than 15 inches (381 mm) from its center to any side wall or partition nor closer than 30 inches (762 mm) center-to-center with adjacent fixtures. No urinal shall be set closer than 12 inches (305 mm) from its center to any side wall or partition nor closer than 24 inches (610 mm) center-to-center with adjacent urinal fixtures (see §713 of this code). There shall be a minimum of 21 inches (533mm) of clearance provided between the front of the water closet, lavatory or bidet to any wall, fixture or door.E. Sanitation.
