Section V-113 - Coverage of Long-Acting Reversible ContraceptivesA. The Medicaid Program shall provide reimbursement to acute care hospitals for long-acting reversible contraceptives (LARCs) provided to women immediately following childbirth and during the hospital stay.B. Reimbursement. Hospitals shall be reimbursed for LARCs as an add-on service in addition to their daily per diem rate for the inpatient hospital stay. 1. Physicians/professional practitioners who insert the device will also be reimbursed an insertion fee in accordance with the reimbursement rates established for this service in the Professional Services Program.La.
