Section IX-8305 - Reimbursement MethodologyA. There shall be no reimbursement for the cost of vaccines that are available from the Louisiana Immunization Program/Vaccines for Children Program. B. For vaccine administration, providers shall be reimbursed according to the established fee schedule or billed charges, whichever is the lesser amount.C. The reimbursement for the administration of childhood and adolescent vaccines shall be 90 percent of the 2008 Louisiana Medicare Region 99 allowable or billed charges, whichever is the lesser amount, unless otherwise stipulated. The reimbursement shall not exceed the maximum regional charge for vaccine administration as determined by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). 1. The reimbursement shall remain the same for those vaccine administration services that are currently being reimbursed at a rate that is between 90 percent and 120 percent of the 2008 Louisiana Medicare Region 99 allowable, but not to exceed the maximum regional charge for vaccine administration as determined by CMS.D. Administration of vaccines related to a declared public health emergency shall be reimbursed at up to 100 percent of the Louisiana Region 99 Medicare rate for the duration deemed necessary by the Medicaid Program to ensure access.
