Section I-1601 - Purpose and ScopeA. In accordance with the requirements of Act 1249 of the 2003 Regular Session of the Louisiana Legislature, the Department of Health and Hospitals adopts admission criteria for inpatient facilities operated by the Department of Health and Hospitals. Admission criteria are specific to each DHH Office that operates inpatient facilities as indicated in this Rule. In accordance with R.S. 28:20(B) no person shall be admitted voluntarily, involuntarily, by court order, or by commitment to a department facility unless the person meets the criteria set forth in this Rule and Act 1249.La.
