Section XLV-7213 - Informed ConsentA. A physician shall not consult and collaborate with an MP without the patient's written authorization as set forth in Subparagraph 7209.A.1.B. A physician shall insure that each of his or her patients subject to consultation and collaboration with an MP is informed: 1. of the relationship between the physician and MP and the respective role of each with respect to the patient's psychopharmacologic management;2. that he or she may decline to participate in such a practice and may withdraw at any time without terminating the physician-patient relationship;3. of the physician's decision to deny or withdraw from consultation and collaboration with an MP; and4. by written disclosure, of any contractual or financial arrangement that may impact the physician's decision to engage in consultation and collaboration with an MP.La.
