Section XLV-4501 - Supervision by Multiple Supervising PhysiciansA. A physician assistant may be supervised by two or more supervising physicians practicing in any professional or clinical setting provided that: 1. any physician providing supervision meets and satisfies all of the qualifications, procedures and other requirements of Chapter 15 of this Part and is registered with the board as either a primary supervising physician or locum tenens physician for such physician assistant; and2. all supervising physicians are identified in the physician assistant's notice of intent to practice as provided in §1517 of this Part.B. If the physician assistant to be supervised is registered with the board to prescribe medication or medical devices a supervising physician shall: 1. meet the qualifications prescribed by §1523 of this Part and shall be registered with the board pursuant to §1527 for delegation of prescriptive authority; or2. not supervise a physician assistant with respect to the exercise of prescriptive authority.La.
