Section XLI-713 - Apprentice Ride in Quarter Horse RaceA. An apprentice jockey may ride in a race in which quarter horses are eligible to start but may not claim an apprentice allowance in such a race. The riding of the winner of such a race shall not be considered in computing the expiration of his right to claim apprentice allowances in races restricted to thoroughbreds, nor shall the win be included in the monthly chart book of the daily racing form.La.
