Section XI-125 - Health Insurance (Formerly Section 108.B)A. The promoter shall provide insurance and pay all deductibles for contestants to cover medical, surgical, and hospital care with a minimum limit of $20,000 for injuries sustained while participating in a contest and $50,000 to a contestants estate if he dies of injuries suffered while participating in a contest. At least 10 calendar days before an event the promoter shall provide to the commission for each event to be conducted, a certificate of insurance showing proper coverage. The promoter shall supply to those participating in the event the proper information for filing a medical claim. The promoter must keep records proving the proper insurance information was filed with contestant and/or medical facility; if promoter fails to provide proof that contestant and/or medical facility has received the insurance information, promoter will bear the burden of paying all costs associated with medical treatment of injured party.La.
