Section LXX-6504 - Urine TestingA. Any pilot involved in an accident or incident while performing his duties as a pilot shall be subject to a urine drug screen test, as required by these rules, U.S. DOT rules and United States Coast Guard regulations. This urine drug screen shall consist of an expanded screening panel designed to detect various illegal drugs, and commonly abused prescription drugs, which are not detected by standard U.S. DOT screens. The expanded panel shall be determined from time to time at the discretion of the board. The results of all drug screens taken pursuant to this paragraph shall become part of the pilot's permanent personnel file.B. In addition to these required drug screens, all pilots shall be subject to random urine screening by means of the expanded screening panel. This random urine screen will be at a rate of a minimum of six pilots per month. The board shall design a protocol for the random selection of the pilots to be tested. Failure to timely appear for testing or refusing to provide proper or adequate samples will subject the pilot to disciplinary action by the board.La. Admin. Code tit. 46, § LXX-6504
