Section LXII-901 - Professional Geoscientist Licensing RequirementsA. Examinations-receive a passing score on any or all examinations required by the board covering the fundamentals and practice of the discipline of geoscience documented as specified in R.S. 37:711.14; the board may exempt applicants from the examination if applying under the grandfathering provision in R.S. 37:711.15(A)(4)(b) or for reciprocal licensure as specified in R.S. 37:711.17.B.Education-complete the academic requirements for licensure as specified in R.S. 37:711.15.A(2); the board may accept qualifying work experience in lieu of the education requirement.C.Ethics-submit three reference letters attesting to the good moral and ethical character of the applicant as specified in R.S. 37:711.15(A)(1) or as otherwise determined by the board.D.Experience-document a minimum of five years of qualifying work experience during which the applicant has demonstrated being qualified to assume responsible charge of geoscientific work as specified in R.S. 37:711.15(A)(3) and R.S. 37:711.16.La.
