Section LX-301 - OfficersA. The board shall elect from its membership a chair, vice chair, and secretary. The chair shall preside at all meetings at which he or she is in attendance and perform all duties prescribed by chapter 13 of title 37 and the board. The chair is authorized by the board to make day-to-day decisions regarding board activities to facilitate the responsiveness and effectiveness of the board. The vice chair shall perform the duties of the chair in case of absence or disability of the chair. In the event the office of chair becomes vacant, the vice chair shall serve as chair until a successor is named. In the absence of the chair and vice chair, the secretary will preside until the chair or vice chair is present. The secretary shall keep the minutes of board meetings and send said minutes to board members and the clerical secretary of the board before each regular meeting of the board.La. Admin.
